I'm not so sure about this...

I may actually like the lineart more than the coloured picture, but since no matter how much I tweaked it it didn't seem to get better, I guess this will be the final piece

Here's the link to the bw version, which lacked some details but looks less like a mess, maybe
[link]This is Maedhros, from Tolkien’s Silmarillion. I just finished re-reading it for the umpteenth time, and all the nostalgia and love came back to overwhelm me again ;u;

Maedhros wasn’t a favourite of mine until this latest reading, to tell the truth. Not that I didn’t like him, he just wasn’t one of the ‘special ones’ for me. But now I feel like I’ve been blind, because I utterly loved his characterization, and now he really stands out for me. (I swear it's not just my red hair fetish) So…a little tribute! Even though he doesn’t really look like I imagine him : hard to depict.
To be fully immersed again in Tolkien's universe...it's such a beautiful feeling to rekindle

I know the feeling. It's absolutely wonderful
I like the colors you used here; nice portrait!^^
Thank you so much for your nice words!!
so what's happening to the poor elf? (i can't mistake this beauty, he must be the elf!
his hair is so gorgeous, and the face too, i really like him now
love the background, and your little signature matches the pic really well
to be honest, i only read Tolkien's LOTR series
He's an elf indeed! He had to go through a lot, but in this specific picture it's after he started to recover after being saved by enprisonment and torture. He had been chained to hang from a mountain by his wrist and left there for years, until his friend Fingon came to rescue him, but he had to cut his hand to let him escape :\ his story is full of sadness, but it's really beautiful!
I guess Silmarillion is not for every taste, but personally I strongly suggest it to you, because it is by far my favourite Tolkien book
Thank you so much for your nice words, as always!
oh my god, he have been through a lot of blood and gore, no wonder his brows is tied like that
really? i read LOTR because i fell in love with the hobbits, therefore i read The Hobbits too, and leave it at that XD
if you recommend, i will put it on my list, now i'm during my longggggg fight with Tolstoy's War and Peace, i wanna finish it so bad lol
