Old Fashioned Ladies - 20sby ~Ilweran

Old, but fabolously fashioned

I recently tried this style, playing with a flat colouring, use of texture, and above all the use of lines, and had so much fun that I decided to make a short series out of it! This is the first of three

I started with one of my characters: Darlene is the daughter of a Mafia boss in the America of the twenties, but turned against her family to run away with the man she loved, a polish butcher. Eventually his family found her, her husband was killed and she barely escaped death, so she swore revenge against all of them. His cleaver became her weapon of choice…we wanted to roleplay something gory and exagerated à la Tarantino, and it was GREAT

I hope I didn't make embarassing fashion mistakes and that the atmosphere is there! I loved drawing the smoke

I love the flat muted colors paired with the texture, it adds some richness to the piece. Not to mention i love the twenties. :3

Che idea meravigliosa hai avuto con questa serie di disegni |O Questo è il primo che hai fatto e anche il mio preferito! le linee sinuose e danzanti del fumo incorniciano tutto e ci si perde nei dettagli delle linee! mi piace che siano proprio le linee a dare dinamismo a tutto, differenziando ogni particolare con una direzione diversa! infine i colori sono azzeccatissimi *3*

qui è più "pieno" e decorato, poi mi sono lasciata un pò andare, anche se comunque sono soddisfatta...ma anche per me è il mio preferito èwéb
